Fruit flies
I read a letter in the November issue and would say that I have also had a lot of these little flies in my house. I know they can be very irritating, but would add they are not unduly harmful to us or your parrots.
I have found the easiest way to deal with them is a sticky fly paper that I have hanging in my kitchen and a small bowl of balsamic vinegar that they are attracted to and catches them. As a result, this nuisance has all but disappeared.
