My friend was running a community festival in Caledonian Road, north London, and she asked if I could do a mural as part of it.

My work is all about animals, and the local community wanted something really bright and colourful, at that point I wasn't painting specifically about endangered species, whereas now that is my primary concern and focus. I like that I can raise a voice for the ones that can’t speak up for themselves.
