Training parrot owners!
As a parrot owner for over 40 years I am greatly concerned that parrots are becoming status-symbol pets, and a lot of new owners do not realise the lifetime commitment that they are entering into.
Teaching parrots to act like humans is the easy part! Teaching humans to think and feel like a parrot is not so easy, and because of this, parrots are being cast aside as they mature, or the owner’s personal circumstances change. As a result, far too many birds end up in parrot sanctuaries.
