Dear Parrots magazine, Feral parakeets I have read about feral Ring-necked Parakeets and the DEFRA editorial on the Parrots’ website and am not confident that a cull will not take place.
I accept that these birds are not native to Britain but does that give us the right to destroy them. I know many people who like to watch them and can’t see that they destroy our natural environment. If we are to cull these birds, then shouldn’t we cull any other animal that is ‘not native’ to Britain?Mrs G Bunting
