Dear Parrots magazine,

Strongly disagree

I would like to respond to Trevor Hollings comments on unsuitability of the aviaries and that the National Parrot Sanctuary is only interested in making profit (Parrots magazine October 09). I for one strongly disagree with this for the aviaries are more than adequate and with that many parrots, most money would go into feeding and vet fees.

I also know that the National Parrot Sanctuary was inspected both by the RSPCA, and the local authority, which issues the zoo licence (both unannounced visits) and passed with flying colours so all I can think is that Mr Hollings has been somewhere different to me. Thank God there are these people to care for all these abused, abandoned and unwanted beautiful creatures.

Stephen Brown
