Dear Parrots magazine,

Conservation at its best

I have to say I was delighted to see the front cover from the last issue (December 2018) depicting the Blue-throated Macaw.

This is a bird that is suffering at the hands of mankind by poaching and land clearance within their natural habitat. I donate to the cause to help these Macaws in Bolivia and am encouraged by the efforts of the amazing field workers and the funding from Loro Parque Fundación. I do hope we are now turning the tide to save these beautiful creatures. What a fantastic picture this was taken by Dave Friel.
